Family Support Worker

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a Family Support Worker to work in Darlington. This is an interim role initially for 6 months with the view of extending. The pay rates are £12+ Per Hour PAYE / £14.67 Per Hour Umbrella.

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity within the Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Team to support the service. 

You will be supporting Social Worker’s with 1:1 sessions, some supervised family time sessions, supporting families with parenting work, supporting children with appointments and other activities to support families.

The post will also include the completion of Life Story Work for children whose plans are adoption.

The role includes direct work with children and their families. The post is blended working, some from home, some from the office and some from within family homes.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:  Experience of working with children and families support services provided by organisations and agencies across the Borough

Qualifications:  Relevant level 3 qualification e.g., NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies

Compliance:  Current enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK.

Hours : 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

Travel:  Full UK driving license, with access to own car with business insurance. Flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the families.
