Finance Systems project manager

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Project Manager, Finance Systems to work in Colchester City council.

This position is initially for 6 months and pays £500 – £600 Per day (Outside IR35)

 

The role:

You will be undertaking a project to replace outdated and fragmented finance systems with a new cloud-based system. The new platform will enable improved efficiency, accuracy, and financial oversight across the councils. The council is looking for a project manager with a proven record in project delivery of a major finance system to work within the Shared Services Programme. It is essential that the Project Manager is a subject matter expert in their field to support a complex project and create solutions for critical business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This project is to deliver a shared Finance system across Colchester City and Epping Forest District Councils to meet the desired business outcomes of the programme and project, by working with and bringing together stakeholders across these 2 organisations, as well as Braintree District Council.
  • Look to futureproof the service, using modern role profiles and functions, identify specialist posts that can be shared, mitigate peaks and troughs and workload challenges. Benchmark across the highest performing Councils, as well as within the partnership to show how we can build upon strengths to build a high performing team. Use Customer insight to identify how the design can significantly improve the Customer journey, outcomes, satisfaction.
  • This is a hybrid role, and you will be required to attend and run meetings at Epping Civic offices and Rowan House, Colchester, as well as attend the offices and/or meet colleagues regularly to build relationships with colleagues in this period of change.

 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Project Management
  • Experience: 2 years’ experience in a project manager role
  • Compliance: 3 years references.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
