Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to work within Rotherham Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £250.16 per day for this role. 

 

The role:

The Fire Risk Assessor is responsible for conducting thorough assessments of fire risks within buildings and facilities, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and standards. The role involves identifying potential hazards, recommending preventive measures, and providing guidance to maintain a safe environment. The Fire Risk Assessor will collaborate with relevant stakeholders and contribute to the development of comprehensive fire safety plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fire risk assessments for buildings, facilities, and premises in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Identify and evaluate potential fire hazards, assessing the effectiveness of existing fire safety measures.
  • Collaborate with building owners, managers, and occupants to gather necessary information for assessments.
  • Provide clear and concise reports detailing identified fire risks, recommended corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Advise on the implementation of fire safety measures to mitigate identified risks and improve overall fire safety.
  • Stay updated on changes in fire safety regulations and standards, ensuring assessments align with current requirements.
  • Work with local authorities and fire departments to ensure compliance and address any concerns or recommendations.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of fire safety training programs for staff and occupants.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive fire safety plans for buildings and facilities.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and reassessments to ensure ongoing compliance with fire safety standards.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
