Fostering Panel Advisor

Seven Resourcing is working with Solihull Council to recruit a Fostering Panel Advisor in their Fostering children’s services.

Initial 3 month contract

The role is 30 hours per week.

Monday is a compulsory day as this is when our fostering panels take place

Office working is flexible usually 1 day per week

The agreed rate of pay is £33.30 

Fostering Panel advisor

An experienced fostering panel advisor required to oversee the smooth running of fostering panels for the fostering team in Solihull.

You will be required to quality assure reports and practice for Panel and ensure that the required legislative and practice Standards are met, and feedback to the Fostering Agency Team Manager/s and Social workers to promote practice improvements, safeguarding and best outcomes for children and young people in care.

The role will involve managing panel agenda’s alongside the fostering panel administrator and ensuring that the department delivers an effective and efficient panel Service. You will be responsible for the recruitment and development of panel members and ensuring best practice is promoted within the fostering agency and panel.

The successful candidate will be required to Identify performance and practice gaps and address these alongside the fostering team manager and may also be required to deputise for the team manager and undertake such other duties appropriate to the grade of the post and the needs of service as necessary such as worker supervision.
