Fostering Supervising Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a skilled and passionate Fostering Supervising Social Worker in Warwickshire, UK. This role involves supporting, supervising, and developing relationships with our foster carers, ensuring the welfare of children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver direct support to foster carers by providing regular supervision, advice, and guidance through home visits, telephone contact, and available out-of-hours support.

2. Develop and implement care plans for children in alignment with legal requirements and company policy.

3. Conduct comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers and prepare detailed reports for presentation to our fostering panel.

4. Provide on-going training to foster carers, promoting the development of skills and understanding necessary to meet children’s needs effectively.

5. Coordinate with external agencies such as schools, health services and local authorities, to ensure the best possible care and support.

6. Participate in the review of foster carers’ approval annually, or as required.

7. Assist in recruitment activities and promotion of foster care within the community.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Must hold a Social Work Qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with valid registration with the Social Work England.

2. Must have significant post qualifying experience in children and families social work.

3. Experience in fostering social work and knowledge of fostering regulations and national minimum standards is highly essential.

4. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota system.
