Fostering Supervising Social Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Fostering Supervising Social Worker at London Borough of Hillingdon Council paying £38.50 per hour

The role:

Fostering Supervising Social Worker:

Manage a caseload of foster carers, ensuring high-quality support and guidance. Conduct monthly reflective supervision sessions with foster carers.

Engage in direct work to enhance the stability and development of children in placement. Identify learning and development needs of foster carers, documenting these in Personal Development Plans and recommending actions.

Carry out unannounced visits, health and safety assessments, and risk assessments. Participate in foster carer Annual Reviews and present reports to the Fostering Panel. Work with other professionals within the team around the child for effective direct work with foster carers and children.

Respond to referrals, ensuring careful matching and effective communication. Work as part of a team to develop and deliver innovative training sessions for foster carers. Participate in recruitment and advertising campaigns, assessing and monitoring the suitability of foster carers.

Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and operational standards for safeguarding children. Prioritise children’s protection and welfare, acting upon critical incidents and allegations as per procedures. Respect and maintain confidentiality.
