Health and Social Care Officer

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Health and Social Care Officer to work for Newcastle City Council. This is a full time position of 37 hours a week, and we are paying £15.40 per hour for this role. 

The role:

We provide a service for adults with severe learning disabilities with additional complex support needs and are looking to appoint people who are enthusiastic, creative and committed to enhancing the lives of people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing information, education, and guidance to clients and their families about available health and social care services, as well as promoting healthy living practices.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client assessments, care plans, and interventions in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Responding effectively to crisis situations and providing appropriate support and intervention to clients in distress.
• Participating in community outreach activities to raise awareness about health and social care services and promote access to resources.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Need Moving and Handling Training. 

  Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

• Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
• Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
