Highways Inspector Team Leader

Seven Resourcing is working with Eurovia Services to recruit a Highways Inspector Team Leader for their service in London. 

Permanent Role.

Job Role and Duties:

The successful applicant will be the Lead Safety Inspector on the Central London Contract and will be required to oversee and supervise a team of 8 current safety inspectors. They will need to monitor, advise and direct the inspectors on day to day duties, ensure all inspectors are complying with SLA’s, legislation and safety inspection policy.

They will need to monitor performance of inspectors and also manage all sickness, leave and undertake appraisals.

Delivery of all monthly tool box talks and safety alerts.

Represent Inspection team with respect to liaising with the Client.

Represent Inspection team at Local depot meetings and H&S monthly meetings.

 

      The successful applicant will be required to maintain inspection routes with adoption records and process with our client. Inspection routes resource planning and completion within policy and driving efficiency.

They will be responsible for 8 safety inspectors. The successful applicant will be responsible for dealing with all enquiries that come into the system.

They will need to monitor the performance of inspectors and manage all sickness, leave and undertake appraisals.

Represent Inspection team at Local depot meetings and H&S monthly meetings.

Qualifications:

–    City and Guild qualification in safety inspections.

–    A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

IT Skills:

–    Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

–    To work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations for all personnel under your authority and others who may be affected by the Company’s activities such as the general public.

–    Be able to work towards and complete given targets. Be able to work to strict deadlines.

Experience:

Experience in a similar role.

Knowledge

      Good knowledge of the Highways safety inspector’s manual.

Good knowledge of section 58 Highways.

Personal Qualities

      Previous management skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to use an array of different approaches.

Good understanding of Business IT systems

Promote a safety culture for all operations under your management.

Be able to actively promote a positive team spirit.

Good team player.
