Holiday Senior Playworker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Holiday Senior Playworker to start a new role in Bolton. This is initially a temporary post for 2 months.

The role:

As a Senior you will coordinate, lead, and manage a mobile Play team that will provide play activities within the community and to manage a staff team and you will be reporting to the Play and Youth Managers.

You will be responsible for running your own mobile play sessions, leading a team of playworkers to deliver day to day activities in a safe fun environment catering for and meeting the children’s needs, during the school holidays and in line with Ofsted standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 

      To provide day to day planning and supervision of play/care/positive activities sessions that meet children needs and health and safety requirements, as necessary.

To prepare healthy snacks for the children.

To provide high quality, creative, appropriate opportunities in a safe and child-centred environment and via a Children’s Rights Based approach

To provide support and care within a safe and secure environment for children with specific additional requirements e.g., autism, ADHD, or a physical disability, after appropriate training.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: 2 years’ experience, skills, and knowledge of working with Children and Young People aged 4-12 years and staff management. Experience of running a small team or 3 or 4 people.

Qualifications:  Evidence of a professional qualification at NVQ Level 3 or higher in Playworker or childcare related field and / or Minimum of 2 years’ experience of running play provision and staff management

Compliance: Up to date enhanced DBS on the update service, Right to work in the UK.

Hours: 37 hours a week

Travel: Full UK driving license with access to a car
