Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer in Redditch. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £17.12per hour (PAYE) or £20 – £22ph (umbrella).  The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.

The role:

• Duty cover – face to face and by telephone;
• Assess and case working homeless applications made to the council, working under homelessness legislation (Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 – ‘HRA’)
• Confident working knowledge of Part 7 and Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996.
• Able to offer sound housing advice to applicants
• Remaining aware of statutory and case law changes; and staying abreast of local and national issues relating to Homelessness’.
• Working as part of a team of officers; and remaining flexible to conflicting demand.
• Attending meetings where requested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be up to date with statutory and case law changes; and staying abreast of local and national issues relating to Homelessness’

Applicant Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references. 
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37 hours p/w.
