Horticultural Social Enterprise Support Worker

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Horticultural Support Worker to work within the Social Enterprise team for Sunderland City Council. This is a full time hybrid position, and we are paying £15.67 per hour for this role. 

 

The role:

Understanding of the needs of vulnerable people and the need to promote their rights and responsibilities. Worked effectively as part of a team and on own initiative. Ability to motivate care customers and fulfil their aspirations. Ability to recognise the need for and exercise confidentiality. Organised and common sense approach. Work as part of a team providing flexible working hours. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with participants and assess their individual needs, abilities, and goals.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Foster a sense of community and teamwork among participants.
  • Identify opportunities for skill development and personal growth among participants.
  • Deliver training sessions on horticultural techniques, job-related skills, and general life skills.
  • Foster a sense of achievement and empowerment through skill-building activities.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor the well-being of participants and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
