Housing Services Manager

Seven Resourcing are looking for an interim Housing Services Manager to work in Rugby. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £23.00 (PAYE) or £28.81 (umbrella) per hour.

The role:

The post holder will take the lead in the operational delivery of the Council’s housing service and will be responsible for:

      Housing (both tenancy and estate) management

The Independent Living service

The Control Centre Service

Housing Allocations and nominations

Key Responsibilities:

      Oversee the management of the Council’s housing management function to ensure excellent, value for money, service delivery in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements

Lead by example in facilitating a responsive and empathetic service which puts the customer first and has a focus on tenancy sustainment

Nurture the motivation and development of the teams, whilst being decisive in tackling behaviours which do not accord with our corporate values

Support the development of the service through service planning, project delivery and working with other stakeholders

Understand the performance of the service and identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation and development, for the benefit of customers and to ensure a healthy Housing Revenue Account

Develop and maintain positive relationships with elected members in compliance with the corporate Officer & Member protocol

Form part of the Homes and Communities Management Team, as well as the Corporate Management Team, and in doing so will be a key collaborative player in supporting the Council to achieve better outcomes for the people of Rugby.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 2 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
