Housing Solutions Team Leader

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a Housing Solutions Team Leader to start work in Ellesmere Port. This is a temporary post, initially for 3 – 6 months with the possibility of placement extension. 

The role:

You will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary Housing Solutions team. You will ensure that statutory obligations under the Housing Act 1996, Part VII (as amended) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 are complied with, and local performance targets are met, and service standards are adhered to.

Responsibilities:

To effectively lead, supervise and manage a Housing Solutions Team allocating budgets and resources to meet the service’s annual business plan within agreed budgets and resources.

To provide support and advice to team members on homeless applications, Choice Based Lettings, housing register, housing options interviews and reception functions.

To monitor temporary accommodation and supported housing for homeless households, preventing the use of Bed and Breakfast wherever possible.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: NVQ level 3 qualification

Experience: Management in the following areas: Homelessness Prevention including rough sleeping; (Essential) Homeless determinations (Essential) Housing options management (Essential)

Compliance: Current DBS check, right to work in the UK.

Hours : 37 hours a week, work flexibly across a range of settings on a rota basis including sleeping in duty, waking nights and weekend working.

Travel: Full UK driving license
