HR Consultant (Recruitment)

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary HR Consultant to work in Nottingham. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying from £19.23 – £24.74 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options available).

The role:

To lead vacancy management and resourcing, retention and reward activities within Children’s Integrated Services, including all elements of strategic resourcing, employability initiatives and retention and reward strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

      To identify, recommend, implement and evaluate a range of sustainable solutions to resolve organisational problems in respect of vacancy management.

To lead on the design and delivery of projects/programmes associated with the above.

To develop and maintain effective systems to monitor programmes and report on the relevant data and statistics to senior management as and when required.

To evaluate current approaches, interventions and theories for associated proposed changes by researching practices in core cities and relevant markets to identify good practice and alternative approaches for consideration of use and improvement of performance within the Council.

To work in partnership with citizens, councillors, colleagues and partners to improve organisational people management practices within the Council.

To lead on creating tailored advertising campaigns relevant to the needs of the service area, collaborating with managers, EDI and marketing colleagues to achieve this.

Collaborate with the Organisational HR team to understand the Council’s approach to reward and recognition, including flexible benefits and salary sacrifice schemes, contributing feedback from the business to support the successful review and operation of the schemes.

Develop and assess new employability initiatives, working in partnership with Residents managers, the EDI team and external partners to achieving positive outcomes for citizens and ‘the right people in the right jobs’.

Quality assure the employability career pathway, supporting the development of career pathways with managers and Departmental HR Consultants. Actively seek representation from under represented groups and individuals.

Lead and design value for money executive level resourcing activities which are business focused and of high quality, attracting the widest and most appropriate (in terms of talent) potential pool of applicants.

Collaborate with Departmental HR Consultants and Advisors to integrate an approach to resourcing, including workforce planning, succession planning and talent management.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: 2 x references and proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
