ICT Project Manager

Seven Resourcing are looking for an ICT Project Manager to work in Civic Centre within the IT team for South Gloucestershire Council. We are paying £300 per day for this role, and is a full time position. 

The role:

Based within the Design, Develop & Transition team of the council’s Information Technology & Digital service, the role provides project management skills and experience supporting the ongoing programme of business-driven technology change.

This is NOT an engineering role, but previous experience of working within ICT project delivery is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Managing external third-party ICT suppliers throughout the duration of the project lifecycle.
  • Communicating effectively with project stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Coordinating ICT technical pre-sales and procurement activities at project initiation.
  • Transitioning the technical solution into operational support as part of project closure, and ensuring ‘lessons learned’ is performed and recorded.
  • Prioritising, setting clear goals and targets, monitoring progress, and holding delivery team members to account.
  • Using judgement and criteria to adapt previous approaches in the light of current circumstances.
  • Making effective decisions in the absence of complete information to ensure work can move forward whilst mitigating risk.
  • Ensuring ICT strategy is not compromised during project delivery unless agreed as an exception.

     

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
