Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Seven Social care is looking for experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advocate’s (IDVA) to work in London Harrow. 

Full time: Monday to Friday. 9:00 – 17:00

Pay Rate: £16.82 per hour.  

Key Responsibilities:                              

• The IDVA will manage high profile / intensive case work.
• To ensure that SafeLives DASH Risk assessment, Individual Safety & Support Plan, Severity of Abuse Grid are in place and reviewed 6 weekly to support the client.
• Domestic violence, legal advice, housing needs, tenancy support, support of children, access to learning or employment dependent on the individual’s aspirations and needs.
• Ensure that identified support targets have been met in conjunction with other agencies delivering care and support services to clients.
• To ensure that support planning is outcome focused and that clients inform the type and level of support that they receive.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: IDVA Qualification.
• Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of the support needs and support planning of women and children experiencing domestic violence. Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
• Compliance: Current Enhanced DBS.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 35 hours p/w.
