Seven Education is looking for an Education Mental Health Practitioner / Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner in Reading

The role:

In line with the Government’s priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) / Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people in educational settings.

EMHP/CWPs play a key role as members of the Mental Health Support Teams. The role will include, although not limited to, completing assessments to inform subsequent intervention(s) and involves working with children, young people and/or their parents/carers to support self-management of mild to moderate mental health needs through targeted and evidence-based interventions. Applicants will also be expected to work with colleagues to provide better access to specialist mental health services and support referrals where required.

About you

Applicants should be enthusiastic and committed to promoting and supporting wellbeing and mental health. Applicants must have completed the ‘Education Mental Health Practitioner’ or ‘Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner’ course. Previous experience of working with children and/or young people within education settings is desirable but not essential.
