Keyworker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Keyworker to start an exclusive new opportunity in Bolton. This is a temporary position initially for 3 – 6 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role of a Keyworker:

You will support the Early Intervention Service with the delivery of safeguarding visits to children who are on a Child Protection Plan or Looked After (Living at home), when they are reported absent from school. This is part of a daily paired duty rota which is in support of schools, social workers, and associated families. You will assess the needs of children and families to identify barriers to participation in education and ensure effective interventions are in place to maximise school attendance.

Key Responsibilities of a Keyworker:

To manage and be accountable for a caseload of young people and families.

To work co-operatively with schools’ pupils’ families and other partner agencies to provide support, information, and advice through formal / informal contact.

To assess the needs of children and families and undertake the Lead professional role where appropriate.

Maintain records to allow progress of individual young people and families to be monitored and provide regular management information to enable planning.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications: Holder of a professional qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field. Experience of working in one of the following areas – youth & / or community work, social work, education, or school attendance.

Compliance: Up to date DBS which must be on the update service, Right to Work in the UK.

Hours: 37 hours a week

Travel: Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle with adequate insurance
