Kitchen General Assistant

Seven Resourcing is working with Nottinghamshire County Council to recruit a Kitchen Assistant for their Catering and Facilities service.

This is a full-time temporary contract. THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT JOB.

Job Purpose:

Prepare and cook food items as directed and in accordance with standard recipes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the correct storage & chilling of food in accordance with instructions.

To clean as directed kitchen equipment, work surfaces, storage facilities and any associated areas.

To receive and check deliveries for quality and quantity and action according to instruction.

To follow all quality control procedures and complete any documentation as necessary.

To report equipment defects and any other problems arising in the course of normal work.

To assist in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production unit.

To contribute to COSHH and risk assessments allied to the use of chemicals, associated equipment and activity and comply with all resulting instructions and procedures.

To carry out all duties and responsibilities with a can do attitude.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: Literacy & Numeracy skills.
• Food Hygiene certificate or appropriate experience
• Experience: Experience of working as part of a team.
• Experience of working in a food environment.
• Health & Safety
• Compliance: Up to date Passport and Drivers Licence.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
