Lead Administrator for Governor Services

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Administrator to work in Barnsley. This position is initially for a period of 2-3 months and is paying £13+ P/H. The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.

Purpose of the Job:

To provide a comprehensive administrative and financial support service for Governor Services. Taking responsibility for decision making within the administration function including the line management of the Governor Services team. Manage on a day to day basis, the provision of administrative functions and act as a named line manager and be responsible for performance management and appraisal of the staff.

Line management responsibility for the Governor Services team members and Governing Board clerks, to include the coordination of::

– Organising of clerks to cover meetings in accordance with agreed SLAs.

– Prepare and deliver termly briefings for Clerks.

– Lead the recruitment, support and initial training of new clerks.

– Provide training and support for LA and school based clerks.

– Quality assure the work of clerks by monitoring minutes and providing feedback and training where necessary.

– Evaluate the effectiveness of the service and make suggestions as to how to improve the service.

– Act as the first point of contact for any complaints from schools about the service and resolve these where every possible.

– Process clerks pay on a monthly basis.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:  N/A. 

Experience:  2+ years working within a similar role. 

Compliance:  Proof of right to work in the UK and a current DBS check. 

Travel:  Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours:  37.5 hours p/w.
