Learning and Development Partner

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Learning and Development Partner to work in Northampton. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £23.00 – £30.00 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

The role:

To advise, develop and deliver learning and development programmes across all services in West Northamptonshire Council. To advise on and developing best practice solutions using in-house and external capability that supports both the common programme and specialist services. To deliver change development and management training and to contribute project work that supports the delivery of our People Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

      To lead on projects / programmes on specific functional areas to meet customer needs and create areas of excellence and best practice.

Undertake projects under the L&D work streams of the WNC People Strategy to deliver transformational change across WNC.

Lead on the design, delivery and evaluation of tailored blended learning and development interventions and activities, utilising latest innovative technologies and up to date practice, in order to support the delivery of our West Ways of Working. Design and deliver courses aligned to recognised occupational and qualification standards.

Ensuring that high quality and consistent professional advice is given to all customers and via those you supervise.

Partner with managers across all our services, through providing professional L&D advice and influence, which will enable our services and teams to put in place effective learning and development strategies/programmes which will develop our learning culture and contribute to the creation of a high performing workforce.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across HR and WNC’s project management teams to support organisational change to working practices and behavioural and cultural change to enable services to have the skilled workforce to deliver their objectives.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 5 CIPD training qualification or equivalent at certificate level or above.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 3 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
