Legal Practitioner

Seven Resourcing is working with Sorriya Richeux at Nottinghamshire County Council to recruit a legal practitioner within their legal services.

Pay via umbrella is £19.27 – £22.35 per hour dependent on experience.

Some office attendance is necessary on a rota and adhoc basis.

Job Purpose:

To provide legal advice and support to the Council working with our Corporate & Environmental Law team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will provide legal support to solicitors in the team and prepare contracts for signing and over see legal completion in addition to carrying own personal case load of standard contracts for supply of good and services, and grant agreements.

The role will also include undertaking legal research and so it is imperative the successful candidate has the necessary legal knowledge and experience as a paralegal.

Be able to develop and support solicitors with low complex cases.

Dealing with post completion or commercial issues.

Assemble contracts for signing.

Completing deeds physically from the office as and when needed.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: Law degree or other graduate qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Experience: Recent legal advisory experience.
• Compliance: Up to date Passport and Drivers Licence.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
