Locum Social Worker – People Waiting Team

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Locum Social Worker to join our People Waiting Team in Essex. This role will facilitate teamwork, adhere to best practice standards and provide substantial support and assistance to individuals and families within our community who are in need.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess the needs of individuals and families, considering their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

2. Develop, coordinate and deliver care plans effectively.

3. Act as an advocate for clients, coordinating services and resources to assist clients and their families.

4. Maintain accurate and timely records of all cases and interventions.

5. Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.

6. Coordinate and provide appropriate resources and support for children, adults, and families facing crisis 7. Assist clients in overcoming their personal challenges and establishing a secure support network.

8. Ensure adherence to the Local Authority’s policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England Registration.

2. Relevant experience in a similar role preferably within a waiting team environment.

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases with varying levels of complexity.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

6. A proficient understanding of the legal and ethical issues associated with social work.

7. Extensive understanding of the UK social care system 8. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferable.
