Looked after Children Contact Supervisor

Seven Resourcing is working with Solihull Council to recruit a contact supervisor for their Looked after Children Team.

£14.71 per hour PAYE.

Part-time OR full-time available.

Job Purpose:

We are an established Cared for Children Team and require further support with the supervision of family time for the children we are responsible for. 

Duties:

You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising family time between looked after children and their birth families at contact centres and community settings across the borough. Your duties will also include completing a detailed recording of the observations you made during these sessions, liaising with social workers and escalating concern, as required.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

You will hold a relevant NVQ 2 / Level 2 Diploma for working with Children and Young People, or equivalent experience in working with children.

Experience: Experience of working with children/ young people or their families in a social care, educational or voluntary setting.

Knowledge and an understanding of child development and the needs of children

The ability to write clear and concise observations and reports on work undertaken

Access to a car for work purposes, to transport children and young people to and from family time frequently.

Compliance: Up to date Passport, 3 years’ references and DBS.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
