Seven Social Care is working with Solihull Council to recruit a Senior Social Worker for their Looked after Children Team.

Hours – 8:45 – 5.20 Mon to Thurs – Friday 4.30pm finish

Job Purpose:

Senior Social Worker required for the Looked After Children’s Team.

Duties:

The right social worker will have the confidence and experience to manage complex allocations, as well as navigate areas of court work relevant for children and young people who are Looked After, in order to ensure that care plans are progressed in good timescales. You will receive robust management support.

It is an expectation that the right social worker will have excellent skills working with children and young people to ensure we know and understand their wishes and views.

The social worker will be able to work in the office and from home where it is suitable. We are asking for all our team to be office based at least 40% of the time during the week.

Applicant Requirements:

– Qualifications: Degree approved by SWE.

– Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.

– Compliance: Up to date SWE registration and DBS.

– Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

– Hours: 37 hours p/w.
