Maintenance Manager-Repairs and voids band 5

Seven is looking for a qualified Maintenance Manager (repairs and Voids) to fill an exclusive opportunity in Maryport.

This is on an initial 5-month contract.

  The role/ Key Responsibilities:

Working under the general direction of the Assistant Director – Investment to achieve the Council’s corporate and housing service aims and objectives.

To manage the delivery of efficient high quality and cost-effective property maintenance service for the Council’s housing stock.

To provide advice to the Assistant Director – Investment in relation to developing new initiatives, reviewing existing practices and making recommendations on the development of its policy and strategy objectives and contribute to the broader future development of the Section.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience of developing, leading, and managing effective teams; setting clear objectives and managing performance; providing constructive feedback.

Ability to provide effective leadership and motivate a range of staff to deliver high levels of personal and team performance, including training of diverse teams.

Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement methods and change management.

Experience at a senior level of managing income and expenditure budgets to meet / exceed targets.

Travel:  Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Membership of an appropriate professional body

Degree level education, or equivalent through relevant training, and evidence of continuous professional development
