Maintenance surveyor

Seven Social Care is looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to fill a fantastic temporary role in Darlington. The pay rate will be £17.12 on a 3-month contract.
The role:
To deliver a comprehensive, good quality responsive repairs and maintenance surveying service. To be responsible for a full range of technical surveying duties including surveying, specifying and managing repair works to work with other members within the Housing Asset Management team, to ensure contractors provide a quality and cost-effective service.

Key Responsibilities:
To complete all responsive survey request that have been passed to the team, due to the more technical requirements. To liaise with the tenant and ensure surveys are completed within a suitable timeframe and write up schedule of works when required. To raise the relevant job tickets and carry out a post inspection, to ensure the works are completed to a satisfactory standard.

To investigate and determine the cause of damp, condensation, and mould through a robust and extensive internal and external inspection of the property and, if appropriate, neighbouring properties in line with relevant policy and to work with residents and contractors to resolve the underlying causes of damp, mould, and condensation. To follow up, to ensure a lasting solution is in place.

To complete void surveys in line with the Darlington standard, complete a works schedule to cover all works, which are accurately costed, raising the relevant job tickets. To carry out a post inspection, to ensure the works are completed to a satisfactory standard.
Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience: 1+ years relevant experience.
  • Compliance: Up to date DBS.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
