Malayalam Bilingual Support Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Malayalam Bilingual Support Worker to fill an exclusive opportunity in Devon.

We have opportunities available for up to 12 months and the pay is £26.90 per hour.

 The Hiring manager is looking for someone who can work 14.8 hours a week (2 days a week).

The role:

You will be working within the Ethnic minority and Traveller Achievement service (EMTAS), who have over 20 years’ experience supporting Devon schools with improving learning outcomes and attendance for ethnically diverse and English as an additional language (EAL) child.

Key Responsibilities:

– Prepare resources for delivering one-to-one or small group support

– Monitor children’s language development – assessing and reporting on their progress

– Support professionals and parents as a Malayalam interpreter in meetings and through communication between school and families

– Write pupil visit notes, supporting the development of team resources and guidance, and translate key documents

– Be involved in cultural celebrations days

– Deliver Home language assessments
