Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Business Support Programme Coordinator to work within Solihull. This a full time role, paying £17.53 – £20.47 p/h.

Office Location: Council House, Manor Square, Solihull B91 3QS

Hybrid Working: 1-2 days a week in the office

Working Hours: Flexible working arrangement; core hours: 9am – 4pm (37 hour week)

 Job Purpose:

The Business Growth West Midlands programme within Solihull delivers a package of start-up and new business growth support, coordinated through the Birmingham and Solihull Growth Hub, giving entrepreneurs and businesses access to advice, support and networking, with specialist expertise including enterprise and innovation, working with delivery partners across a range of business support programmes. Its aim is to increase entrepreneurship, business creation, job creation and growth, and to link growing businesses into the full range of support available to them in the next phases of their growth.

The Programme Coordinator is an integral member of the Economic Growth Team responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring the effective delivery of UKSPF Business Support, which consists of a series of interlinked partner initiatives integrated with external commissions and contracts.

The Programme Coordinator is responsible for directing, organising and controlling project and programme activities, under the direction of the Group Manager – Economic Growth and for ensuring that the project is meeting its outputs and that monitoring records for Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the UKSPF monitoring and evaluation duties are completed in line with appropriate procedures.

      Develop and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally in order to achieve UKSPF programme objectives.

To work closely with the Birmingham and Solihull Growth Hub, Birmingham City Council, West Midlands Combined Authority and local steering groups, consultants and other delivery bodies, strategic and delivery partners and stakeholders at both senior and operational levels to ensure effective and efficient implementation of individual projects and elements of the programme as well as the programme as whole.

To directly assist with the delivery of Solihull’s UKSPF business support outputs, including advice to SMEs, grant support and a range of commissioned specialist programmes.

To co-ordinate and support relevant business events to deliver UKSPF outputs, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and delivery partners.

To collate and produce monitoring and evaluation reports for review in line with UKSPF programme requirements, organise and attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.

Coordinate resources in line with project plans to meet project requirements.

Assist the Group Manager – Economic Growth in drafting specifications and briefs for work and liaise with Procurement to support the tendering and commissioning process.

Maintain an up to date register of all commissions, partner agreements, service level agreements and contract changes/variations.

Prepare programme organisation and communication charts.

Manage the Programme Risk Register and report status changes.

Support key business support and local steering groups and other project meetings producing and distributing action logs.

Track the progress and quality of work being undertaken by appointed delivery partners.

Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, budgets and expenditure.

Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to key stakeholders and to project partners.

Keep the Group Manager – Economic Growth and others informed about project status and issues that may impact internal and external relations.
