MASH Advanced Practitioner

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced MASH Advanced Practitioner to become a part of our thriving team in Lewisham, UK. As an Advanced Practitioner in our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults within the Lewisham community.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Undertaking specialist assessments for complex cases.

2. Providing a clear direction and supervising the MASH team.

3. Participating in regular multi-agency meetings and case discussions.

4. Making decisive and informed decisions regarding case management and recommendations.

5. Working in close collaboration with partner agencies such as police, health care providers, and educational institutions.

6. Regularly updating case files and ensuring they meet legal requirements.

7. Offering advice and support to other social care workers within the team.

8. Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating personalised care plans to ensure optimal care outcomes.

Key Requirements:

1. A degree in Social Work, or equivalent, and being a registered Social Worker with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Exceptional knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and issues affecting child protection.

3. Significant experience in a MASH team or an equivalent setting, ideally within a supervisory role.

4. Demonstrable experience managing complex cases and making informed, independent decisions.

5. Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and maintain productive relationships with partner agencies.

6. Ability to work under pressure whilst managing and prioritising a complex caseload.

7. Proficient in IT and integrated social care systems.
