MASH Senior Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are looking for a MASH Senior Social Worker to join our vibrant and passionate team based in Powys, UK. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, identifying, and managing the needs of children and families in need of support, intervention, or safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial and core assessments of social care requirements for our service users including children and families.

2. Act as a key coordinator in Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) meetings, and share responsibility for the most complex child safeguarding cases.

3. Implement and review child protection and child in need plans for those cases.

4. Provide clinical supervision and instruction to junior social work staff and students.

5. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, families and caregivers to develop and implement comprehensive, coordinated care plans.

6. Provide crisis intervention services when necessary to assist in stabilizing situations.

7. Document all social work activities in a timely and comprehensive manner.

8. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Social Work and registered with the Social Work England.

2. Significant post-qualifying experience in a social work setting, particularly in child protection or MASH.

3. Enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

4. Excellent understanding of safeguarding policies and legislation.

5. Strong decision-making, communication, and team-working skills.

6. Ability to cope with emotional and stressful situations.

Working Hours:

The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to their work schedule, with availability to work on-call as and when needed.
