MASH Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are seeking an experienced and dedicated MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Social Worker to join our team in Dudley, UK. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in child protection and demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working within a multi-agency safeguarding hub to ensure children’s safety and well-being.

2. Performing assessments, planning interventions, and providing help and support to families.

3. Attend multi-agency meetings to discuss, advise and make decisions about the safety, welfare, and well-being of children.

4. Work collaboratively with various agencies such as the police, health services, and schools to protect vulnerable children.

5. Keeping up-to-date and accurate records and writing reports.

6. Demonstrating a clear understanding of child development and the impact of abuse/neglect.

7. Providing professional guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, BASW) or equivalent.

2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. At least two years’ post-qualification experience in a child protection/multi-agency team.

4. Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.

5. Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively.

6. High level of communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

7. An understanding of the impact of abuse and neglect on child development.

8. Ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate effectively with different agencies.

9. A full UK driving license and the willingness to travel.
