MASH Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are seeking a highly motivated and competent MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will effectively manage and evaluate complex safeguarding risks while making decisions that have significant impact, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and their families.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage safeguarding referrals relating to children and families as a part of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

2. Analyse and evaluate reports from multiple sources to make effective decisions regarding necessary actions and interventions.

3. Collaborate with other agency professionals including police, health, and education to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.

4. Conduct risk and assessment planning for children and families, preparing reports as necessary.

5. Provide crisis intervention and execute short-term treatment planning for at-risk children and families.

6. Comply with social services and NHS regulations, guidelines, and procedures to uphold the standards of practice.

7. Offer counsel and guidance to children and families on resources available within the community.

8. Act as an advocate for children and families, promoting their rights and ensuring their voices are heard.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or equivalent.

2. Registered and validated by UK’s Social Work England or equivalent governing body.

3. Previous experience working in MASH or similar safeguarding environment.

4. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.

5. Proficient in using IT systems for data recording and report writing.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
