Seven Social Care are looking for a  Mobile Hygiene Operative to work within Haringey.

£ 13.94 per hour 

As a Parks frontline Operative, you will provide a visible, roaming presence and act as the public’s first point of contact for the Service. You will ensure that minimum inconvenience is caused to the public whilst working, and act in a professional manner at all times.

You will be part of a team providing day to day provision of park cleanliness and hygiene.

You will undertake the collection of litter and hazardous waste to keep the parks safe, clean, and tidy, ensuring safe and appropriate disposal of all waste, including transporting it to authorised disposal plants as directed.  This may include using vacuum appliances where appropriate in a safe and responsible way.

You will assist with the removal of small-scale graffiti and offensive stickers from park furniture, bins and signage reporting any unremoved graffiti / stickers to the Area Supervisor for removal by others.

From time to time wash down notice boards, interpretation panels and the like to ensure they are still readable by the public.

You will help implement weekly work schedules, under direction from your Team Leader, ensuring works are completed within set specifications and timeframes.

Assist with the locking and unlocking of park gates as directed.

Carry out regular visual checks to the parks you visit and report any defects. This includes noting faults and the bin condition and escalating any issues to appropriate teams for rectification. 

You will assist with the removal of all on-board waste and recycling from the parks vehicles and dispose of it in accordance with the approved safe working practice.

Assist with ensuring all vehicles used are clean and presentable for daily use, and appropriate checks are carried out, with any defaults reported as appropriately where necessary. 

Follow guidance given to ensure adequate safety precautions are being maintained at all times in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, risk assessments and best practice.
