Multi Trader

Seven Social Care is looking for a Multi Trader at London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Council

The role:

Responsible for being part of a multi-disciplined works team within the housing repairs, responsible for delivering multi trade services throughout the borough, ensuring health and safety compliance and best practice.  To work in a professional and flexible manner and carry out work in accordance with latest regulations.  

To carry out multi trade work both internally and externally across the borough, including carpentry, glazing, tiling, flooring, signage, painting and decorating, kitchen repairs, bathroom repairs, lock changes and plumbing etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Key personal duties will include the following:

Overhaul, ease and adjust, and renew, if necessary, doors and door frames complete (including door stops and architrave). 

Carry out pre inspection to doors, identify and provide door data and measurements. 

Operative must be able to site fire signage in accordance with BS 5499-10: 2014.? Guidance for the selection and use of safety signs and fire safety notices. 

Operative will carry out emergency lock changes to doors throughout the borough to manufacturers instruction without compromising the door integrity. 

Renew/install fire rated glazing in line with BS EN 1634-1: 2014 & BS 476-22: 1987 BS EN 12488: Glass in building – Glazing recommendations 

Use fire rated materials correctly in accordance with manufacturers recommendation to ensure products are effective. 

Overhaul and repair all timber, Upvc and metal windows and renew as necessary.

To carry out all types of repairs & maintenance works both internally and externally when required, including fencing, decorating, small maintenance tasks, demolition and alteration works and remedial works to complete projects to the customer or client satisfaction as directed by your line manager or other nominated designate. 

Overhaul or replace bathrooms and kitchens

Undertake associated duties as agreed in the flexible working agreement to contribute to groups ‘one job one visit’ objective. 

Plan and organise work in an economical and effective manor, making the best use of your available time, plant, transport, and materials in accordance with specified company priority response times.  

To operate within a scheduled appointment system including liaison with customers, other team members to effectively undertake the works. 

Use all necessary Multitrade tools plant and equipment associated with Multitrade works.
