Night Waking Care Assistant

Seven Social Care is looking for a Night Waking Care Assistant to start a new exclusive role in Bolton. This is a temporary contract initially for 4 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role:

To work as a member of a team to provide a high quality residential service to disabled children and young people in partnership with their parents, providing a safe, responsive environment during the late evening, night, and early morning.

The position is for a waking night residential support worker, 24 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours available.

Typically, this will be 2x 12 hour shifts a week between the hours of 8pm and 8am, working will be two waking night 12 hour shifts per week, possible additional hours available.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide for the practical and personal care needs of children and young people on a day-to-day basis in partnership with families.

To provide a safe environment and enable children and young people to make informed choices relating to their care.

To assess the needs of children and young people with disabilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of agreed care plans.

To assist in ensuring the Council’s service user policies and the policy on the role and function of the establishment are adhered to.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience of working with young people and an understanding of the impact of disability are essential.

Qualifications: NVQ3 or equivalent in a childcare or related area is also required

Compliance: Up to date enhanced DBS

Hours: 20 hours per week and includes weekend work on a rota basis
