Occupational Therapist

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services in Nottinghamshire, UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluating the patient’s physical and mental condition, otolaryngologic and orthopedic disability, strength, and developmental status.

2. Create personalized recovery plans based on individual clients’ needs and abilities.

3. Work closely with patients to improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities.

4. Implement an intervention plan to aid recovery or adaptation to ensure maximum performance and satisfaction at work, home or at school.

5. Hold patient consultations to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic or adaptive treatments and revise treatment plans accordingly.

6. Educate healthcare professionals, carers, patients or families in exercises to maximize effect of therapy.

7. Complete and maintain accurate reports and records related to patient’s progress and treatment.

8. Comply with professional, ethical and legal standards for delivering best practice therapeutic care.

9. Liaise with other professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Occupational Therapy that is recognized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT).

2. Valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. At least 2 years of experience in an Occupational Therapy role. Children and Youth Pedagogical experience would be a desirable requirement.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong dedication to improving patient quality of life.

6. Comprehensive knowledge of risk management and safeguarding procedures.

7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Note: This position may require travel, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
