Part-time CE Co-ordinator

Seven Resourcing is working with Herefordshire County Council to recruit a CE Co-ordinator for the newly formed “Get Safe Team” in Herefordshire.

Role is 2.5 days per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 

You must be available for meetings that need to be attended and this limits the flexibility.  Especially on a Wednesday.

Based at Plough Lane.

£43 – £47 per hour depending on experience.

Initial 3 month contract with the potential of extending, not 100% this will go permanent, but you would need to re-apply.

Job Purpose:

This is a really exciting time to come and join the newly established SAFE team, our multidisciplinary response to the range of exploitative situations faced by some of the most vulnerable children in Herefordshire. The team includes a Missing Children Co-ordinator and Family Support Workers and is supported by a number of colleagues including the Police, Youth Justice Service, Early Help, Health and Education. 

Duties:

We are recruiting a dedicated, passionate, Senior Practitioner who can engage and work well with adolescents. If you want to help improve the life experience of children and families involved in all forms of exploitation, then this job is for you.

As part of this team you will support newly qualified and student social workers as well supervising Family Support Workers who work with children and young people that have been victims of or are at risk from a range of exploitative situations. You will be responsible for undertaking complex assessments alongside your supervisory responsibilities. You will report into the SAFE Team Manager and will have a passion for working with complex and often resistant adolescents but be rewarded by being part of a very supportive and dynamic team.

You will have a sound understanding of their development and need to have a good understanding of contextual safeguarding, exploitation and a successful track record of developing good working relationships with partner agencies.

You will have experience of supporting students and newly qualified colleagues and have attained the Practice Educator Award. 

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Desirable to have practice educator qualification.

Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK. Preference of experience within youth justice, looked after children or leaving care would be an advantage.

Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
