Permitting assistant

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a Permitting Assistant to start work with Leeds City Council.

This role has an anticipated duration of 6 months, and the role is split between two different locations.

Henshaw depot 2 days a week

Merrion house three days a week.

To ensure that permit applications are submitted and managed through the various stages. To also provide advice and support to Highways Maintenance teams to assist in meeting the Authority’s duties to comply with Coordination and Management requirements under NRSWA 1991, TMA 2004 & associated YPS guidance.

Responsibilities:

      Transmit programme data into Street Works Permits.

Accurate Plotting of all Works.

Coordination check of other works using One. Network as part of pre-planning for road space booking.

Implement road restrictions under NRSWA 1991 Section 58.

Attend and analyse data from quarterly performance meetings with Network Management.

Implement procedures to monitor Permit responses, liaising with both Highway Maintenance teams and Network Management.

Follow sequential processes for the electronic transfer of permits providing real time status, including works registration, to minimise shadow FPN’s.

Formulate and send applications for TTRN/TTRO’s via One. Network

Assist in the production of Customer Care packs.

Produce effective progress reports.

Applicant Requirements:

Individuals must understand the role and function of a highway’s maintenance service.

Hours  : 37 hours a week, 5 days a week.
