Seven Resourcing is working with Nottingham City Council to recruit a personal budgets officer.

37 hours per week

£14 per hour

Based at Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham; NG2 3NG

Job Duties:

The Personalisation Hub is a fast paced team, supporting children, young people and adults with learning and physical disabilities to manage their Direct Payments in a way that promotes independence and choice over the way their care is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Personalisation Hub receives and processes referrals and requests for information and support from both professionals and citizens and their families, as well as completing regular reviews and quality assurance of services in line with the citizen’s care plan and agreed outcomes.

Personal Budgets Officers are responsible for ensuring payment of Personal Budgets via a Direct Payment for children, young people and vulnerable adults. In addition, the Personal Budgets Officers are responsible for ensuring payments to Direct Payments support services are made in line with the Council’s financial regulations.

They provide assistance/advice to citizens, social care practitioners, health colleagues and external agencies relating to all aspects of Direct Payments, and act as first point of contact for any queries relating to these.

The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of and aptitude for electronic recording and financial systems, as they are expected to maintain and monitor the financial and administrative systems pertinent to the scheme on a daily basis.

An ability to use Microsoft Excel to an intermediate or advanced level is highly desirable.

  • Compliance: Up to date Passport and DBS
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
