Plumber

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Plumber to work in Darlington. The position is initially for a period of 12 months and is paying £17.16 per hour via Umbrella..  The works take place over 5 days and will be 37 hours per week.  Ongoing work for as long as you want for the right candidates. 

The role:

The Council has a commercially focused, successful and thriving Building Services division which are currently looking to recruit a Plumber to join the repairs and maintenance team. This team look after domestic council housing stock and other council owned properties such as sheltered housing schemes.

The job utilises mobile technology to enable you to carry out your job while on the move using a mobile device. This includes details of your appointments, van stock control and health and safety information such as vehicle checks. A vehicle is provided which is collected and returned daily to the depot.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out installation and maintenance work in accordance with job instructions/specifications, and all current legislation.
• Ensure that a high standard of workmanship is maintained in accordance with the Quality Assurance system ISO 9002 and current works specification.
• Understand and comply with Health & Safety legislation, practices and procedures with particular regard to installing and maintaining electro-technical systems and equipment.
• Understand and comply with environmental legislation working practices and principles of environmental technology systems.
• Interpret and comply with drawings, schedules and specifications.
• Attend briefings when required for safety and policy issues.
• Maintain all plant and equipment used in good order.
• Be aware and comply with current legislative requirements relating to the construction workplace.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
• Comply with risk and method statements and other relevant Health & Safety assessments appropriate to the work.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: Time served Plumber/Heating Engineer: City and Guilds or equivalent. Qualified to ACS certification. 
• Experience: 2+ years working as a Plumber. 
• Compliance: 2 x references and proof of right to work in the UK. 
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
