Portable Appliance Tester

Location: Darlington, Town Hall

Position Type: Full-time, Ongoing Project

Work Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate:  £ 11.18 – £13 per hour.

Seven Resourcing is looking for a full-time Portable Appliance Tester  within Darlington.

Job Description:

The Portable Appliance Tester plays a crucial role in maintaining a rigorous testing regime for all portable appliances within the organization. This role ensures the safety and compliance of portable appliances by conducting regular testing, recording results, and coordinating necessary maintenance and calibration.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing Regime: Maintain a systematic and regular testing regime for all portable appliances owned by the Council.

Data Management: Enter all test results into the PAT guard database and provide regular update reports to relevant building managers.

Advanced Access: Coordinate with Service Managers to arrange advanced access to offices/premises for testing purposes.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all portable appliance testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to ensure accurate testing.

Compliance: Adhere to all Council policies and procedures, and stay informed about obligations under these guidelines.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: N/A

Experience: 1+ years working in a similar role.

Compliance: 2 years References, Eligibility to work in the UK,

NO STUDENTS: MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULL TIME AND DRIVE.
