Procurement Officer

Seven Social Care is looking for a Procurement Officer at North Northamptonshire Council

The role:

Working from home but with regular meetings in One Angel Square or Kettering Offices at least once a week

31 March 2024 but not fully confirmed due to disaggregation and activities that could happen during this process.

Part time – 3 days per week between 9am and 5pm

1.         Provide professional services, advice, support and guidance within specific procurement category areas such as Apprenticeships relating to the Council’s procurement strategy by promoting innovative ideas, planning, developing & implementing new processes / initiatives / contracts in a sensitive, persuasive and determined manner with the objective of ensuring that the service is regarded as high performing and the service provision demonstrates value for money following Apprenticeship Levy funding guidelines.

2.         Lead on less complex projects including the development of potential procurement options and utilization of the Crown Commercial Services to select the most appropriate route. Manage the full tender cycle including advertising, developing documentation, evaluating, moderation, contract award and feedback to bidders.
