Project Manager – 12 Sites (Interim)

Seven Social Care is looking for a Project Manager to deploy a high level of technical expertise and will provide a service lead on allocated regeneration programmes and/or projects and will be responsible for their progression from initiation to completion.

This is with Havering Council.

Start Date – ASAP

Pay rate – £500 per day

The role:

Deputise for the Head of Service in their absence or as directed, liaising where appropriate where appropriate and necessary with the Director of Regeneration. Individual duties may be altered given Service needs.

To provide a strategic lead for regeneration strategies, projects and programmes, working in partnership to promote/ensure the economic, social and environmental regeneration of Havering through the effective development, co-ordination, funding and management of projects and programmes in line with European, national, regional and local priorities.

To personally lead and/or procure, manage and co-ordinate the preparation of strategies for the regeneration of the Borough and manage the process of community and stakeholder consultation and in securing agreement from the Council, Developers, Land-owners, Statutory Undertakers, Central Government Departments (such as MHCLG & HM Treasury), Greater London Authority, Transport for London, Metropolitan Police, Homes England, the NHS and other partners as appropri

Ensure the successful delivery of the various regeneration strategies; developing, securing commitment, obtaining funding, delivering and evaluating a range of inter-related projects with an annual value of up to £ 50 million. Ensure delivery of this complex programme working across Council departments including Housing, Property, Planning, Finance, Legal and Communications.

  • Qualifications: N/A
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a same or similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work and DBS dated within the last 12 months (or registered on the online update service.)
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 35 hours p/w.
