Seven Resourcing are looking for a Qualified Lawyer to work in Leicester City Council. This position is full time and is paying £55 per hour.

 

The role will be remote working and for 3 months from July to September and could possibly be extended, depending on whether the lady returning from maternity leave takes some accrued annual leave at the end of her maternity leave.

Job Purpose:

Are you a Qualified Lawyer who has experience in providing advice on complex commercial transactions?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the legal team of Leicester City Council’s legal services.  We are looking for a confident self-motivated individual to provide commercially focused legal advice and act as lead lawyer on a range of challenging matters. You will work in a supportive environment with a well-established team, having your own varied caseload of commercial, contract and general local government law matters.   Working in the commercial team you will work on a wide range of projects, including the regeneration projects in the city centre.

 

We are integral to deliver of the Local Authority services, including supporting the LLEP and the Council’ Public Health and Social Care functions.

 

You will:

You will provide and secure high-quality legal services for the Council and other agreed public bodies in the areas of Commercial and Contract Law (including Public Procurement).

With your learned coaching skills, you will support junior members of the team to assist with their development and learning. 

 

Using your problem-solving approach, and ability to work as part of a team, you’ll support the Head of Law to ensure the provision of quality, client focussed and cost-effective legal services.

With your strong communication skills, you’ll build and manage external relationships with clients carrying through assigned tasks and matters to conclusion.

 

Requirements of the post:

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Practising Certificate, and have significant experience in providing commercial and contract law advice in a Local Government capacity. In addition, as a strong communicator, who is commercially aware, and solutions focused you’ll advise the Council and other public bodies.
