Qualified Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are seeking to hire a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker for a full-time position based in Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to making a difference in the community, dedicated to the welfare and quality of life of the service users, and capable of working in a demanding yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments to understand the service users’ needs, strengths, and weaknesses.

2. Develop, review, and update service user care plans to ensure their needs are met adequately.

3. Provide counselling and advice to service users and their families, helping them cope with social and emotional difficulties.

4. Collaborate with other social care professionals, conducting risk assessments and developing intervention strategies, to ensure comprehensive support.

5. Advocate for service users to ensure they can access appropriate resources, services, and support within the community.

6. Maintain confidential and timely records of observations, meetings, and decisions regarding service users.

7. Act in accordance with the relevant legislative frameworks and policies, promoting equality, diversity, and the rights of service users.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. A degree in Social Work and registered with the Social Work England.

2. Proven experience in a social worker role with a solid understanding of social work theories and practices.

3. Excellent communication and people skills.

4. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make sound judgments.

5. An understanding of legislation pertinent to social work and the Derbyshire area.

6. A current valid driving license and access to a vehicle.

7. The ability to work flexibly, managing and prioritizing your workload effectively.

8. Knowledge of safeguarding issues and the rights and needs of vulnerable people.

9. Enhanced DBS check.
