Qualified Social Worker

  • Salary: £200 - £240 per day

Seven Social Care are seeking a caring and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Sunderland. The ideal candidate is expected to uphold the highest professional standards, have familiarity with the UK social system and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments to evaluate individuals’ needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine necessary services.

2. Develop and evaluate care plans in partnership with service users.

3. Assist clients in handling everyday life challenges.

4. Advocate for and address service users’ needs within multi-disciplinary settings.

5. Regularly review, monitor and adapt care plans to ensure needs are being met.

6. Provide crisis intervention as necessary.

7. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for legal purposes.

8. Attend multi-agency meetings and case conferences.

9. Participate in continued professional development activities.

10. Adhere to professional, legal and ethical standards in line with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Social Work.

2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. Relevant experience in a social work role.

4. Excellent problem-solving capabilities.

5. Excellent communication and people skills.

6. Proficient in maintaining accurate case notes and reports.

7. Capacity to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. Profound understanding of relevant legislations in the social work field in the UK such as the Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983.

10. A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are preferable.
