Qualified Social Worker

  • Salary: £200 - £240 per day

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker who will be responsible for aiding individuals, families, and groups of people to cope with problems they’re facing to improve their lives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, an empathetic nature, and robust problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Identifying those in need and assessing their situation to determine the necessary support.

2. Collaborating and coordinating with other professionals such as psychologists, probation officers, and school teachers.

3. Protecting vulnerable people from harm or abuse.

4. Supporting clients in critical situations like trauma or crisis, including hospital admission, child abuse, or legal matters.

5. Carrying out assessments that meet their clients’ needs and desires.

6. Providing psycho-social support to clients.

7. Writing reports and maintaining accurate documentation for every case.

8. Keeping updated and remaining in compliance with regulatory standards or legal requirements.

9. Advocating for or making referrals to resources to assist clients, like food stamps, child care, healthcare, etc.

Qualifications:

1. A Degree in Social Work and a registered membership with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Proven experience in a social work setting.

3. Strong communication and active listening skills.

4. A clear understanding of the professional boundaries and ethics of social work.

5. Knowledge of social theories and practices.

6. An ability to demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving.

7. The resilience to work under pressure and deal with challenging situations.

8. Proficiency in maintaining records by writing reports, summaries, and logs.

9. Understanding of legal procedures surrounding social work.

10. Validation of the right to live and work in the UK.

Working hours: This job will have a flexible schedule, but will generally follow typical office hours, with occasional on-call duties.
