Qualified Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Reading, UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing social work services to a diverse set of individuals and communities.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess, plan, implement, and review social work services for individuals, families, and groups.

2. Participate actively in multi-disciplinary teams for care planning and service coordination.

3. Prepare reports for, agendas for, and attend meetings such as child protection conferences, court proceedings, and reviews.

4. Provide social work consultation to colleagues and community agencies.

5. Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to manage potential issues.

6. Advocate for, and develop strategies to empower, clients and their support network.

7. Facilitate and participate in community outreach and education programs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field is required.

2. Must be registered with the Social Work England (SWE).

3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, specifically within a statutory social work setting (Children’s Services, Adults’ Services, Mental Health Services, etc.).

4. Excellent ability to build and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.

5. In-depth knowledge of legal frameworks and best practices.

6. Proven capabilities in managing caseloads, setting goals, and maintaining updated case notes.

7. Demonstrable experience in crisis intervention and strong problem-solving skills.

8. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

9. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
