Qualified Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a committed and qualified Social Worker to join our team in Sunderland, UK. The individual must have a thorough understanding of social work principles, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complex social environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments of clients, including children, families, elderly or disabled individuals, to ascertain their needs and develop appropriate support plans.

2. Engage with clients and their families to understand their situation, and work collaboratively with them towards their identified goals.

3. Coordinate services from various external organisations, including housing providers, healthcare professionals, and charities, to provide complete care to clients.

4. Regularly monitor and review service delivery, making recommendations for adjustments in line with changes in the client’s needs or circumstances.

5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.

6. Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings to promote the well-being of the client.

7. Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services when required.

8. Ensure full adherence to professional ethical standards.

Qualifications:

1. Must hold a Degree in Social Work approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Registered with Social Work England.

3. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role with a strong focus on safeguarding, child protection, and working with vulnerable adults.

4. Training in relevant areas, including mental health, substance misuse, and multidisciplinary team working is preferred.

5. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

6. Strong problem-solving ability and resilience in the face of challenging situations.

7. Proficient in the use of MS Office and familiarity with database management systems.

8. An understanding of the diverse cultural and social backgrounds of the Sunderland community.
